It was great to see everyone at the Merchistonian Annual Dinner
last Friday; those who were there will know that Stephen Biggart (96-03)
was the worthy winner of this year's Merchistonian Award. Stephen's story will feature in the Club magazine. To see photos from the evening click here
The Memorial Hall was packed once again for this year's Remembrance Service
, at which the address was given by Lt Col Douglas Mackay. His Remembrance Day address may be read here
. As per tradition, we made sure to get the annual father and son photograph.
On Sunday, School Chaplain, Revd Nick Blair spoke with Michael Paton (33-38)
, who might well be one of the last remaining Merchistonian WWII veterans. Michael passed on his best wishes to the School.
The London meet-up
will be taking place on Monday. For the 45 of you signed up, drinks will be taking place at the Cavalry and Guards Club
from 6.30pm - do not forget it is a cash bar!

On Saturday Magnus Bradbury (11-13)
will make his Scottish debut in the Autumn Test against Argentina at Murrayfield. Magnus will be the 65th Merchistonian
to play rugby at International level. Good luck Magnus, we will all be rooting for you.
Finally, the Scottish Schools' Cup semi-finals
take place at School on Thursday, our U18 1XV take on Stewart's Melville College; at the same time, our U16 1XV go head to head with St Aloysius - kick-off 2.00pm. Come along to support the pupils at this family-friendly event.
