Law with Lord Osborne
The Hon Lord K H Osborne (Kenneth) (50-55) visited our UVI boys on Tuesday as part of our Careers Café evenings. He came to talk to the boys who are considering a career in law.
Lord Osborne was appointed a Judge of the Supreme Courts in 1990 and was appointed to the Inner House in 2001. He is a graduate of the University of Edinburgh (MA, LLB) and was admitted to the Faculty of Advocates in 1962. He was Standing Junior Counsel to the Ministry of Defense (Navy) from 1974-1976. He was the longest-serving judge of the current Scottish bench before retiring in May 2011.
The boys certainly had a lot to learn from such an eminent figure in Scottish legal history!
