Dear Merchistonians and Friends
Five weeks until this year's Annual Dinner. The clock is ticking and seats are filling; make sure to get your friends together before too long! Like last year, we're hosting the event at
The New Club on Princes Street, a splendid venue for such a great occasion. Book online
here or get in touch with me
here if you have any questions.
Meanwhile, October's Business Breakfast is getting closer. Matt Gray (79-84) is opening his illustrious doors to us and hosting it at his new business,
Gilson Gray. This month's talk is 'Social Media: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly', by one of Scotland's foremost employment lawyers. To find out how social media will directly impact upon you and your business, book
here - spaces are limited.
Those of you still revelling in Team Europe's fantastic
Ryder Cup victory may be interested in a new exhibition put on by the
Scottish National Gallery. 'The Art of Golf' is running until
26 October and is jam-packed with the sport's art, European history and memorabilia. It sounds perfect for a rainy weekend, so give it a go!
In putting on Club events, it means you can get as much out of us as possible. My job is to support and help you in any way that I can. If you have event ideas but wouldn't know where to begin; if you want to get in touch with old classmates
whom you haven't seen in years; even if you're just looking to come back to the School for a nostalgic School lunch and a tour around your old haunts, do get in touch with me. How do you want to make the most out of your present and future as a Merchistonian?
Enjoy your weekend!
