This week has been one of wild weather extremes, varying from stunning, sunny days to foggy, windswept evenings. At least the flora and fauna seem to be enjoying it! If you haven't seen them already, the

Sticking with rugby, Scotland's U20 IRB Junior World Championship
squad set off tomorrow to tour New Zealand. Magnus Bradbury (11-13) and Gavin Parker (11-13) are part of this illustrious group. More information
The rest of this newsletter is dominated mostly by events that shouldn't be missed; firstly, on
Thursday 12 June, the London Network will be at
Richmond Golf Club. The golfing event will begin at 12.30pm for light refreshments, before teeing off at 1.30pm. Please let me know

To celebrate the founding of Merchiston, do come along to the Annual Art & Design and Design & Technology Exhibition tonight. It will be held in the Design Centre from 5.30 until 8pm, with drinks and canapes provided. If you can't quite make
it, the exhibit will also be open on Saturday morning from 10.30-11.15am and again after the Commemoration Service until 1.45pm. With artwork from Form 1 to Upper Sixth, it will be well worth a trip.
The Edinburgh Business Breakfast is next Friday 30 May for those in the vicinity. Usual time, 0800-0900 at Indigo Yard. Peter Nicholson, HR Executive DTR Services, is our guest speaker and his topic is: "The Four Deadly
Tuesday 3 June will see a Merchistonian Club Committee Meeting in the Old Library. Refreshments will be provided and the meeting will begin at 6pm. If any Committee members - you know who you are! - wish to come along, please do let me know.
