It was great to see Merchistonian, Calum Hill, recently at Kings Acre, fine tuning his game for the 2017 season. Calum is currently in his Senior year studying Sociology at Oregon State University in America. Furthermore, on completion of his Sociology degree, he has been awarded a scholarship enabling him to study for a minor degree in Business. Well done to him for achieving this award. Calum also continues to do well on the golf course. Last semester, he played 4 out of the 5 tournaments, and along the way, he bettered the School record for 18 holes with an incredible 9 under par round 63 in the Alistair MacKenzie Invitational, played in California.

It was super of Calum to spend time with current Merchiston Golf Academy pupil Lyle. Calum was so interested to hear from Lyle about the players in the Academy and the tournaments they have played in. He was impressed to hear the Juniors are now ranked no. 1 ISGA Golf School in the UK!

We wish Calum every success for 2017, both in the classroom, and, of course, out on the links!
