Unveiling of a statue to the Golden Retriever - Andrew Marjoribanks of that Ilk (55-59)
As the hereditary chief of Clan Majoribanks, Andrew Marjoribanks of that Ilk (55-59) was invited to unveil a statue to the Golden Retriever, which was first bred by one Dudley Marjoribanks, later Lord Tweedmouth. It took place at the village of Tomich on Marjoribanks' Guisachan estate.
Andrew said:

“All great fun, accompanied by drams from the local hostelry and attended by dozens of golden retrievers and their owners, many from the USA. And the BBC and various newspapers.

Also as Chief, I had the pleasure this year of leading my Clan onto the Castle Esplanade for one showing of the Royal Military Tattoo, taking the salute with the visiting General and enjoying a dram with the piper.”
