, he has now completed the round the world yacht race, which included a daring rescue off the coast of Australia. Gavin and the Mission Performance crew received the Henri Lloyd Seamanship award for their
courageous actions. Watch out for the full story in the Club magazine.
On Tuesday 6 September
the School paid its respects to John Ronald Seth Pringle-Pattison (1910-1915)
by placing a special Battle of the Somme wreath under the name plaque for him outside of the Memorial Hall. Ronald, who entered
Sandhurst in 1915, fell on his first fight at 19 years of age and Tuesday marked 100 years since his death.

is starting work in Abu Dhabi as a Part 1 Graduate Architect with KEO International Consultants for a year and is keen to play for a local cricket club and meet up with any Merchistonians in Abu Dhabi or Dubai as well
as any information about accommodation/flat shares in Abu Dhabi.

Congratulations to Chris Sole (07-12)
who made his first class debut in the '2015-17 ICC Intercontinental Cup
' on 9 August 2016 against the United Arab Emirates, in which the teams drew. He also made his ODI debut in the '2015-17
ICC World Cricket League Championship
' on 16 August 2016, also against the United Arab Emirates, where Scotland won by 7 wickets with 14 balls remaining. Below is Chris getting congratulated after his third wicket on debut.
