Dear Merchistonians and Friends
For the last few days we have been enjoying wonderfully warm weather and with the end of exams almost in sight, for all but unlucky Latin scholars, the School is taking a collective pause for
breath before the end of term activities.
Despite our ascent into summer, life on the rugby field continues apace both here and abroad with
Merchistonian Rugby Football Club just losing to FoulFashion in a hotly contested semi-final of the
Edinburgh 10s at Raeburn Place.
Magnus Bradbury (11-13) led Scotland Under-20s to a
stirring victory over Argentina at the Junior World Championships in Italy, while last year's Captain of School,
Patrick Kelly (10-14) was named
Man of the Match, seen here in a great
pic during the team's narrow defeat by Ireland.
For those facing the perennial problem, of what to do to keep their sons busy during the summer months, the School is running summer camps at the beginning of August. More details
We are delighted that tickets for the Merchiston Gala Ball are selling really well with Merchistonians of all ages signing up for what will be a brilliant evening. We are happy to accept individual
bookings and will make sure that we organise seating for maximum enjoyment! Book
Finally, this week we have been enjoying an amazing timelapse
film from Krzysztof Wrzos. If you are missing Edinburgh, please take a look!
