“During what has been a frustrating season injury wise for myself, my role as chairman has provided a different yet incredibly rewarding challenge. There is quite a strong Merchi contingent forming in Bath now and we can usually all be found at the Rec on a Saturday cheering on Zach Mercer (13-15).

Alongside writing my dissertation, I’m currently in the process of organising our inaugural end of season alumni match and club dinner on Saturday 28 April, held in memory of our clubs recent Ex-Chairman George Stephenson who sadly lost his battle with cancer last year aged 24. ‘Stevo’ was a popular and respected member of the rugby family at the University, playing for the 1XV from 2011 to 2015 and serving as chairman in his final season.
The dinner is being held at the historic Roman Bath Pump Rooms as a fundraiser for CLIC Sargent
, the charity closest to George and his family. We are currently seeking sponsorship for the event, ranging from individual table sponsors, end of season award sponsors and two named partner sponsors. Additionally, we are looking for raffle prizes to present on the night. If you are interested in sponsoring and would like to find out more or would like to donate, then please contact me on email@example.com
. Any contribution, large or small, would be greatly appreciated and go a long way to making the event a success.”
